Découverte, our second estate vineyard, is in the heart of the Dundee Hills. Organic vines on volcanic Jory soil and sundrenched hillside slopes help imbue the wines from this site with all of the red-fruit character and freshness that make this American Viticultural Area so beloved.
Tasting Notes: Expressive and complex, the nose effuses aromas of strawberry, plum, and licorice. The palate reveals vibrant and complex notes of wild cherry and noble wood, with a long and savory finish.
Vintage Notes: 2018 was an exceptional vintage producing harmonious wines. Starting from May the growing season was ideal: sunny and dry. High temperatures in July and August required and received cool nights in mid-September, allowing the grapes to develop a complex aromatic profile and retain bright acidity.
